　　1988年8月16日，汉斯-约尔根·霍斯纳和迪特·德高夫斯基抢劫了位于德国北威州格拉德贝克的德意志银行，并掳走两名银行职员作为人质。事件发生后，由弗里德里希·迈泽带领的警方迅速展开行动，以期尽快抓住罪犯。面对警方的包围，他们开始了两天的逃亡。期间霍斯纳的女友玛丽昂·吕布利希在不来梅挟持了一辆载有三十名乘客的公交车以帮助两人摆脱警方追捕。由于抢劫犯手中握有众多人质，为保护人质，德国警方迟迟无法进行有效的行动打击罪犯。德高夫斯基随后在逃亡的路上射杀了十四岁的少年埃曼纽埃尔，事态愈发严重，人质的死亡让警方的行动迫在眉睫……影片改编自真实事件，还原了联邦德国历史上最富戏剧性的抢劫大案。（小易甫字幕组）
