简介:   本剧根据获奖无数的英国剧集《海滨凶案》（Broadchurch）改编，由《海滨凶案》的制片人创作，就连男主角也是《海滨凶案》的男主角David Tennant。


南加州，一座宁静的小镇，一个风光秀美的海滩，一处险峻的悬崖峭壁，一具小男孩的尸体。警方对此事件展开大规模调查之后确认这是一起谋杀案，这座小镇立刻炸开了锅。平日里相处和睦的邻居们开始相互怀疑，各路媒体蜂拥而至。不仅男孩的家人陷入混乱的漩涡，所有镇民的生活从此都将被彻底改变。


负责谋杀案调查工作的首席侦探Emmett Carver（David Tennant）是一个严守规矩的警察。他刚刚抵达断点镇，在镇警察局中占据了一个高阶职位。这个职位本来应该留给辛勤打拼了很多年的当地侦探Ellie Miller（Anna Gunn），但是在谋杀案发生之后，她必须放下自己的不满，全力配合新上司做好案件的侦破工作。
