　　夜总会歌女朱莎娇（薛家燕 饰）爱上了港大学生祝展辉（郭峰 饰），朱莎娇的腹中更是怀上了后者的孩子。然而，祝展辉要前往纽约深造，朱莎娇只得独自生下女儿祝君好（佘诗曼 饰），抚养他长大。之后，善良朱莎娇又收留了好姐妹的儿子文初（张智霖 饰），无奈文初的嗓子被毒药烧坏，无法发声。
　　
　　一晃眼二十二年过去，祝君好和文初都已经长大成人。某日，朱莎娇再度遇见了祝展辉，继而结识了祝展辉的弟子司徒礼信（马浚伟 饰），与此同时，文初遇见了曾经抛弃他的生母，两人尽释前嫌，文初更是帮助母亲还债。随着时间的推移，文初和司徒礼信都爱上了善良美丽的祝君好。
