　　Jules Daly（Katie McGrath，《梅林传奇》）最近快忙晕了。自从姐姐和姐夫遭遇可怕的意外不幸丧生后，她便成了外甥Milo（Travis Turner）和外甥女Maddie（Leilah De Meza）的监护人。她整晚都要照顾这两个调皮的家伙，白天根本无心工作，以至于被老板解雇；她的车子老是出毛病；Milo和Maddie的恶作剧已经吓怕了至少一打保姆……天底下还有多少倒霉事在等着她呢？

　　穿着考究的英国男管家Paisley Winterbottom（Miles Richardson）的到来或许会改变Jules的命运。他自称是孩子的祖父Edward公爵（Roger Moore，原007的扮演者）派来的，邀请一家人前往英国共度圣诞。Edward公爵一辈子没有和儿子打过交道，但是儿子死后他突然想看看自己的孙儿孙女。Jules一开始想拒绝，但最终还是去了。那种奢华到极致的生活让Jules发晕！她变得笨拙、尴尬、笑话频出，但她也逐渐将自己的影响力带进了这个家庭。
