继三名拍摄纪录片的大学生在伯克特斯韦尔的黑山丛林里神秘失踪后，又有五个年轻人打起了布莱尔女巫的主意。他们来到黑山丛林，在拉斯廷．帕尔的房子旁露营，拉斯廷．帕尔正是那个传说中被女巫控制而谋杀了七个小孩的凶手。五个人一觉醒来，发现怎么也想不起来昨晚发生的事，有整整五个小时的时间不知所终。
离开丛林后，他们回到杰夫的住所——伯克特斯韦尔边上的一个废弃仓库，努力回忆当时的情景。可是丛林中的怪事似乎并未因此结束，一连串诡异的事又随之在他们身边发生了。奇怪的记号出现在他们的身上，耳边不时传来小孩们凄凉的哭声，时隐时现的鬼影又在揭示着一个古老的罪行。他们已经无法分清什么是现实，什么是幻境，他们开始互相猜疑，开始变得歇斯底里，开始意识到有东西跟着他们离开了丛林，但这一切都太晚了……
