We are now is about Laura and her friends, whose lives revolve around the first love and other problems of growing up. In the midst of emotional chaos fate strikes and shakes their world. We are now tells the storiy of seventeen-year-old Laura and her friends shortly before high school graduation. The subject of the series is growing up and what it means to be all of a sudden responsible - for oneself, for one's friends, for one's love and for one's actions. Laura and Olli are dating and that has some meaning to her and her friends, although Laura’s feelings are not always as clear and as deep as she would like them to be. She is unsure and at the same time feels attracted to Daniel. When Oli realizes that, the situation escalates.
